Telluride Town Park (500 E Colorado Ave)
High crowd · Arrive by 6:00 PM · park · Free
⚠️ CONDITIONS-DEPENDENT — Telluride has cancelled last-minute under fire restrictions (2025, 2018). Re-verify at tellurideevents.com the week of July 4. When the show runs: Town Park is the official venue for live music all afternoon, the beer garden, and the Nova Sky Stories drone + laser show bookending the fireworks at ~9:40 PM. South half of Town Park closes for evening safety — set up on the north lawn near the tree line for best sightlines and a path out.
East end of town (valley-view open spots)
Medium crowd · park · Free
Locals say head 'anywhere along the east end of town with a clear view of the valley' — the box-canyon walls make the sky shows wrap around you. Good fallback if Town Park is jammed, and a clear sightline up to the ridge launch if fireworks do happen. Show type: unconfirmed — verify before attending.
Colorado Avenue (Oak to Willow, parade route)
High crowd · park · Free
For the 11 a.m. parade (with an 11 a.m.-sharp military flyover), locals recommend the Colorado Ave stretch between Oak and Willow; arrive 7:30–8 a.m. to reserve space. Do NOT place chairs/tarps before 6 a.m. on July 4 (town rule). If staying in Mountain Village, ride the gondola in early. Show type: unconfirmed — verify before attending.
