Low risk — Mild dry winter (~20-24°C by day); clear skies typical.

Safety & Crowds

Downtown closes to cars; expect very dense crowds. Free public zones close once at capacity (gates controlled). Strollers restricted at Burj Park.

Getting There

Metro is the best option and runs later than usual; Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station closest. Roads close ~3-4pm. Reach Downtown before 4pm.

Alcohol

Alcohol only in licensed hotels/restaurants (e.g. Address Downtown, Armani Hotel); public street drinking prohibited under UAE law.

Laser/drone/fountain shows continue into the first week of January; Jan 1 is a public holiday.
