Confirmed — The 2026 Bastille Day programme for Paris has been officially announced.
Fireworks + Light Show · 23:00 local · Europe/Paris
IMPORTANT ANOMALY: Paris's traditional Eiffel Tower fireworks display has been officially moved from July 14 to the evening of July 13, 2026, so that July 14 itself can be dedicated to national commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the July 14, 2016 Nice terror attack. The show (fireworks + drone/light elements, produced by Groupe F) is launched from the Eiffel Tower, Iéna Bridge, and Trocadéro Gardens, preceded by a free concert on Champ de Mars from ~21:00. The Bastille Day military parade on the Champs-Élysées still occurs the morning of July 14 as usual — this is a separate, non-pyrotechnic event and is not a viewing-spot item here.

Pont de Bir-Hakeim
Medium crowd · Bridge · Face E · Arrive by 20:00 · Free

Angled but attractive perspective on the tower, Seine, and skyline together; noticeably less crowded than Trocadéro/Champ de Mars and easier to leave quickly afterward.

Medium crowd · Observation deck · Face SW · Arrive by 20:30 · Free

Related Events That Day
2026-07-14 22:45 — Disneyland Paris (Marne-la-Vallée, ~40 min from central Paris) runs its own paid Bastille Day night show on July 14 itself — a brand-new 'Tinker Bell' themed production combining fireworks, 1,600 drones, lasers, and projection mapping over Sleeping Beauty Castle, ~12 minutes, requires Disneyland Park admission. This is a distinct venue from the Eiffel Tower show. Source: insidethemagic.net (2026-07), sortiraparis.com (2026-07).
Weather & Visibility
High risk — Red-alert heatwave as of July 13, 2026: all Île-de-France departments are on Météo-France red alert (up to ~39°C). The show is going ahead per official sources — not cancelled — but extreme heat is a real health risk: hydrate, plan shade, arrive rested. Nearby prefectures (Essonne, Seine-et-Marne, Yvelines, Val-d'Oise) have banned fireworks through July 15, so confirm any suburban display with the local mairie before travelling.
Safety & Crowds
Eiffel Tower closed to visitors all day July 13, 2026 for rigging (reopens July 14). Bag searches and security perimeters in effect.
Getting There
Trocadéro (M6/M9) and Bir-Hakeim (M6) stations get very crowded; RER C Champ de Mars-Tour Eiffel also serves the area. Expect long post-show waits or partial closures.
