MAJOR 2026 CHANGE: City of Santa Fe and Kiwanis Club moved the event from Santa Fe Place Mall (used since 2016) to FRANKLIN E. MILES PARK (1300 Camino Carlos Rey) after Mayor Michael Garcia's review of 13 candidate locations. Hotel construction within the mall's 'shot zone' forced relocation. 2026 will be a HYBRID show for America's 250th: traditional fireworks PLUS a Sky Elements 400-drone show choreographed to music. Drones launch from the Nava Elementary School basketball courts just north of the park; fireworks launch from the park itself. Event runs 4–10 PM with live music and food vendors. Free parking on-site (limited) plus free shuttle buses. ~48,000 attended in 2025 per KRQE.

Santa Fe Reporter: 'The Sky Elements drone light show features 400 drones in a fully custom-designed, aerial display synchronized to music, launching from the Nava Elementary basketball courts on the northern portion of the school property.' Standing on the park's north edge gives the best angle to see drones AND fireworks together for the integrated hybrid finale. Show type: unconfirmed — verify before attending.

KRQE quotes ex-pyrotechnician Tim Reeder voicing safety concerns since the new park is 'surrounded on three sides by a residential neighborhood.'
