Old Settlers Park (Frontier Days — free city show)
High crowd · Arrive by 6:00 PM · park · Free
Free city-hosted show at 3300 E. Palm Valley Blvd. Frontier Days festival runs all day (carnival rides, Swifty Swine pig races, pepper-eating contest) with fireworks at dusk (~9:15–9:30 PM). Vast open multi-field complex with minimal obstruction — set up on the central fields and face the open sky north of the main launch area. Arrive by 6 PM; surface lots fill but remain open. One of three simultaneous shows within a mile. Show type: unconfirmed — verify before attending.
Sightline: Wide open park with minimal obstruction across the multi-field complex. Central fields give the cleanest sky view. Some tree lines at the park perimeter clip the very lowest bursts, but the full aerial show is visible from the open interior.
⚠️ Egress from Old Settlers Park is notoriously slow on July 4 — E. Palm Valley Blvd backs up in both directions. Have a patience plan or wait 20–30 minutes inside the park after the show ends before attempting to leave.
Dell Diamond (Round Rock Express — postgame fireworks)
High crowd · Arrive by 6:30 PM · paid event · Paid
Round Rock Express vs. opponent, 7:05 PM first pitch July 4, 2026, with a Bud Light postgame fireworks show (~9:45 PM). Sit on the 3rd-base side facing the outfield berm where shells launch — best angle in the park. Clear-bag, cashless venue. Non-ticket holders also gather in roadways outside for free perimeter views. Buy game tickets in advance; arrive at gates-open to beat traffic. Show type: unconfirmed — verify before attending.
Sightline: 3rd-base side seats face directly toward the outfield berm launch — best in-stadium angle. Home-plate and 1st-base sections are slightly off-angle but still excellent. Upper concourse gives a wide overhead panorama.
⚠️ Cashless and clear-bag venue — leave large bags in your car. Dell Diamond is within a mile of Old Settlers Park and Kalahari; post-show traffic around 10 PM involves all three venues simultaneously draining. Plan significant exit time.
Kalahari Resorts Round Rock — KABOOM! day-guest event
High crowd · Arrive by 5:00 PM · paid event · Paid
Resort's signature July 4 KABOOM! show (3001 Kalahari Blvd), event from 5 PM, fireworks after dark. Day-guests pay $30 per VEHICLE (not per person) for a parking pass via exploretock.com/kalahari-resorts-round-rock — this includes the show and live entertainment. Face the resort's open backyard/event field for low-obstruction aerial views. VIP Backyard Buffet and Thirsty Turtle swim-up bar viewing also sold separately. Book parking 2–3 weeks ahead — limited inventory. Show type: unconfirmed — verify before attending.
Sightline: Open resort event field with low obstruction overhead. Launch site is within the property, giving close-range shell views. The outdoor pool deck and cabana areas also have direct sightlines to the fireworks.
⚠️ The $30 charge is per vehicle regardless of occupancy — carpool to maximize value. Parking passes sell out; do not assume walk-up availability. All three Round Rock shows go off within 30 minutes of each other around 9:30–9:45 PM, so post-show traffic on I-35 and US-79 is severe.
Kalahari Resorts Round Rock — field-facing guest rooms
Medium crowd · Arrive by 5:00 PM · hotel room · Paid
Overnight guests get the easiest access — event is on property. Request a HIGH-FLOOR room facing the resort's outdoor event field/waterpark side; call and specifically request the July 4 fireworks orientation (view is NOT guaranteed by room category). Outdoor pool deck and private cabana/bungalow seating have direct fireworks sightlines. Book 1–2 months ahead for July 4. Show type: unconfirmed — verify before attending.
Sightline: High-floor rooms facing the event field have direct sightlines to the launch. Pool deck and cabanas are the premium outdoor viewing spots with no structural obstruction. Rooms facing the parking lot/entrance side have no meaningful view.
⚠️ Room orientation matters enormously — the resort has multiple towers and wings. You MUST call and specify the fireworks-facing side or you risk a room with no view at all.
Forest Creek Golf Club area / Gattis School Rd (free multi-show perimeter)
Low crowd · Arrive by 8:30 PM · elevated · Free
With three shows within a mile, this southwest perimeter spot ~1 mi from Dell Diamond and Old Settlers offers a rare simultaneous multi-show panorama. Face northeast across flat open ground — you may catch Dell Diamond, Old Settlers, and Kalahari bursts in a single sky. Some tree lines require positioning on an open lot edge. Park legally on surface lots; avoid blocking neighborhood streets. Arrive by 8:30 PM. Show type: unconfirmed — verify before attending.
Sightline: Flat terrain with some tree-line obstruction — open lot edges give the best northeast panorama. At ~1 mi distance all three shows appear at similar size. This is the only public free spot with a reasonable sightline to all three simultaneous shows.
⚠️ Park legally — residents in the area are protective of their streets on July 4. Tree lines can block low bursts from the more distant Kalahari show; you mainly see the high aerial portion of all three.
⚠️ No confirmed launch site for this city. Viewing spots shown are approximate.
