Show date: Saturday, July 4, 2026 ·
Show time: 10:00 PM (approximate)
Lubbock's '4th on Broadway' (Texas's largest free Fourth of July celebration, a 34-year tradition) ends with H-E-B's Fireworks Extravaganza ~10:00 p.m.; traditionally at Mackenzie Park, though heavy rain forced a 2025 relocation to the South Plains Fairgrounds — confirm the 2026 venue at civiclubbock.org. Traditional fireworks. NOTE for drones: nearby Wolfforth swapped fireworks for a 400-drone show ('4th on the 5th' at Peoples Bank Stadium, ~7 p.m. start, drones after full dark).

Mackenzie Park (traditional 4th on Broadway site)
High crowd · park · Free
Mackenzie Park is the historic 4th on Broadway evening venue with the 5 p.m. Picnic Under the Stars and 7 p.m. concert before the 10 p.m. fireworks — but check civiclubbock.org the week of the event, since rain has bumped festivities to the South Plains Fairgrounds before. Show type: unconfirmed — verify before attending.
South Plains Fairgrounds (rain backup / midway)
High crowd · park · Free
If the show moves to the South Plains Fairgrounds (as in 2025), the H-E-B fireworks at 10 p.m. are easily seen from the midway — a good fallback with ample fairgrounds parking off the parade route that ends just past Avenue A. Show type: unconfirmed — verify before attending.
Wolfforth - Peoples Bank Stadium (drone show alternative)
Medium crowd · park · Free
For the high-tech option, head to Wolfforth's '4th on the 5th' at Frenship ISD's Peoples Bank Stadium where a 400-drone light show (partnered with Aerial Illuminations) replaced fireworks starting at 7 p.m. with drones launching after full dark — quieter and lower cancellation risk than fireworks. Show type: unconfirmed — verify before attending.
