DUAL SHOW: a 200-drone patriotic display (doubled from 100 drones in prior years) launches at ~9:50 PM from the roof of the Gatlinburg Convention Center, showing 13-18 images over ~10 minutes, immediately followed by fireworks from the 407-ft Space Needle at 10:00 PM. Both are free. Because the Space Needle is so tall the fireworks are visible from virtually anywhere downtown. Gatlinburg PD closes Airport Road to traffic at 10 PM from Parkway to Cloverleaf Lane. Personal fireworks are illegal in city limits.
