Show date: Saturday, July 4, 2026 ·
Show time: 10:00 PM (dusk)
Cody Stampede (founded 1919; world's oldest pro July 4 rodeo, named 2025 PRCA Small Rodeo of the Year; America 250 theme). Fireworks shot at dusk across the Shoshone River between the Stampede/Cody Nite Rodeo grounds and town, after the final July 4 rodeo (rodeo 5-7 PM; fireworks ~10 PM / at dusk). Live musical broadcast on FM 102.3.
Fireworks are launched just across the river from the rodeo grounds, so finishing the final Stampede Rodeo (5-7 PM) puts you closest to the action - but you don't need a rodeo ticket; the grounds and adjacent streets all view the show. Show type: unconfirmed — verify before attending.
Paul Stock Nature Trail / Shoshone River Walkway
Medium crowd · park · Free
The fireworks are fired across the Shoshone River from the Paul Stock Nature Trail; stake out the river walkway for a front-row reflection view off the water without buying a rodeo seat. Show type: unconfirmed — verify before attending.
Beck Lake Park
Low crowd · park · Free
Two-plus miles of paved trail around the reservoirs give elevated, low-crowd views of Cody and the fireworks beyond; bring a headlamp and tune to FM 102.3 for the synced music since you're farther from the launch. Show type: unconfirmed — verify before attending.
