Intracoastal Park — west bank waterfront (festival grounds)
High crowd · Arrive by 6:30 PM · waterfront · Free
Primary viewing site on the WEST bank; face east across the Intracoastal Waterway toward the Zambelli barge near Harvey Oyer Park. Shoreline mangroves and the seawall block low bursts — claim an open lawn spot near the water by 6:30 PM. Free event 4–9 PM, fireworks 9:05–9:30 PM, synchronized to music. On-site parking is ADA-only; take the free A/C shuttle from 3301 Quantum Blvd or Eco Park (from 3:30 PM) or use the Town Square Circuit shuttle. Show type: unconfirmed — verify before attending.
Sightline: Open waterfront lawn with direct east sightlines across the Intracoastal to the barge. Shoreline mangroves and seawall vegetation block the very lowest bursts at water level — lawn positions slightly back from the seawall give the best combined view. Water surface reflections of the shells are a bonus from this angle.
⚠️ ADA-only onsite parking — use the free A/C shuttle from Quantum Blvd or Eco Park. The Harvey Oyer boat ramp closes July 3 at 11 PM and reopens July 4 at 11 PM for the barge setup. July heat is extreme (feels-like 100°F+) and afternoon thunderstorms are common — the 9:05 PM show is timed late to wait out storms.
Harvey E. Oyer Jr. Park — east bank (adjacent to barge)
High crowd · Arrive by 6:30 PM · waterfront · Free
Directly beside the Zambelli barge launch — you are very close, giving enormous shell sizes overhead. Face east/northeast over the water. Barge fallout zone keeps you slightly back from the water's edge; shoreline sea-grape blocks the lowest shells. Boat-ramp/trailer parking is limited to the first 50 boats with entry cut off at noon July 4. This is the official rideshare drop-off point. Show type: unconfirmed — verify before attending.
Sightline: Close-range adjacent to the barge launch — shells are overhead and very large. Sea-grape vegetation along the shoreline blocks the very lowest bursts. The fallout zone creates a required setback from the water's edge but high and mid-altitude shells are fully visible. One of the best close-range positions in Boynton Beach.
⚠️ Boat-ramp/trailer parking cut off at noon July 4 (50-boat max) — arrive early or use rideshare/shuttle. Barge fallout zone means you cannot stand at the water's edge. July heat is extreme and afternoon thunderstorms are common — the show is timed to 9:05 PM to wait out storms.
Boynton Harbor Marina — Two Georges / Banana Boat waterfront
Medium crowd · Arrive by 7:00 PM · waterfront · Free
Marina boardwalk ~0.8 mi south of the barge. Face north/northeast up the Intracoastal toward the launch. Docked boats and the Ocean Ave bridge partially obstruct — stand at the open marina edge for the best angle. Waterfront restaurants Two Georges and Banana Boat take July 4 dinner reservations with a view (est. $40–70/person — book 2–3 weeks ahead). Marina parking is limited; arrive by 7 PM. Watch for Intracoastal bridge closures around show time. Note: Free at marina; restaurant dinner est. $40–70/person. Show type: unconfirmed — verify before attending.
Sightline: ~0.8 miles south of the barge with docked boats and the Ocean Ave bridge creating partial obstruction on the northeastern sightline. Open marina-edge positions clear most of the obstruction — high and mid-altitude bursts are visible. Intracoastal water reflections and the marina ambiance make this one of the more atmospheric secondary spots.
⚠️ Intracoastal bridges (Ocean Ave, Boynton Inlet) may have closures around the show — cross to the east side before 8 PM if planning to split locations. Marina parking fills early; Two Georges and Banana Boat table reservations are essential for a waterfront dining experience.
Boynton Beach Oceanfront Park / Ocean Ridge — barrier island (west-facing)
Low crowd · Arrive by 7:30 PM · waterfront · Paid
On the barrier island east of the waterway — face WEST back across the Intracoastal toward the barge for a unique over-water angle. Little obstruction except A1A traffic and dune vegetation behind you. Beach parking is limited and paid. Cross the Ocean Ave or Boynton Inlet bridges before 8 PM — they may have closures around show time. Arrive by 7:30 PM. Show type: unconfirmed — verify before attending.
Sightline: Looking west from the barrier island across open Intracoastal water toward the barge gives a clear, reflective over-water sightline with minimal obstruction. Dune vegetation behind you is low and doesn't interfere. A1A traffic is the only nuisance. This is a lower-crowd alternative with a unique perspective on the show.
⚠️ Bridge closures on Ocean Ave and Boynton Inlet around show time can trap you on the barrier island — cross before 8 PM or plan to stay until bridges reopen. Paid beach parking ($5–20); bring change or a card.
Inland Boynton Beach hotels (Federal Hwy/Congress) — high-floor east rooms
Low crowd · Arrive by 5:00 PM · hotel room · Paid
⚠️ NO HOTEL directly fronts the Intracoastal barge in Boynton Beach. Congress Ave and Federal Hwy hotels (Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express) sit inland and most face WEST/inland — away from the Intracoastal launch. If booking, request a HIGH-FLOOR EAST-FACING room; even then I-95/commercial buildings block low fireworks for a distant partial view. The free waterfront spots at Intracoastal Park and Oyer Park are dramatically better. Show type: unconfirmed — verify before attending.
Sightline: Inland hotel corridor with I-95 and commercial buildings between the hotels and the Intracoastal. Only the highest finale bursts may be visible from upper east-facing floors. No hotel in Boynton Beach has a meaningful direct barge view — the waterfront parks are the right choice.
⚠️ No Boynton Beach hotel has a direct fireworks view. If using a hotel base, plan to drive/rideshare to the waterfront parks — do not book expecting a room view.
⚠️ No confirmed launch site for this city. Viewing spots shown are approximate.
