Occurs annually — York's Bonfire Night show happens every year — the exact 2026 scale/budget is not yet fully published.
Fireworks · Europe/London
York has no single official city-wide Guy Fawkes display -- the anchor event is genuinely dispersed. On and around 5 Nov, roughly a dozen separately organised, separately ticketed community/village bonfire-and-fireworks events run across greater York (e.g. Poppleton, Stillington, Fangfoss, Acomb, Elvington Scout Group, plus pub- and farm-hosted events), each modest in scale. The most consistent larger, charity-backed event inside the city itself is North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service's annual Rawcliffe Country Park Bonfire and Fireworks Display (in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity, supported by City of York Council), most recently held Saturday 8 November 2025. No official 2026 date has been published yet. Note: 'York Autumn Lights' at Elvington Airfield is a larger, professionally produced firework festival sometimes marketed alongside Bonfire Night content, but it is ~8 miles outside York in a separate village and has historically run in late October (2025: 27 Oct) tied to Halloween rather than to 5 November -- it was excluded as the York anchor for that reason, though readers looking for York's single biggest firework production should be aware of it.
